Austrian Airlines/Amadeus, HolidayExtras.com, Monarch

Austrian Airlines and Amadeus have signed a long-term full content agreement until end-2014. The deal gives agents worldwide guaranteed access to the carrier’s full range of fares through Amadeus, with no surcharge.

HolidayExtras.com is offering a new pre-bookable taxi service between the airport and hotels at Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester. The service, in partnership with taxi firm Roadrunners UK, is offered at a fixed price, meaning that 24-hours-a-day, 365 days a year, the cost of travel between the airport and the hotel remains the same.

Average load factor on Monarch’s scheduled services grew by one percentage point to 77% in January. Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife were once again the most popular destinations, with almost 70,000 passengers, up 26% from Jan09.
