HRG announces consultancy promotions

17 Sep 2009
Hogg Robinson Group is expanding its consultancy division in response to a significant increase in demand for its advice and expertise.

HRG Consulting has established a new international team under the leadership of Paul Dear as head of client consultancy.

HRG said Dear had had a long standing career with the company, during which he had demonstrated ‘impressive consultative and reporting skills and expertise’.

As part of the new team, Marion Klar has been promoted to head of consulting mainland Europe, based in Germany. Klar’s career with HRG began in 2006 when she was appointed principal HRG consultant, responsible for Germany and Austria.

Clare White, meanwhile, has been promoted to the role of head of consulting UK and will manage the UK and Nordic consulting practice.

She brings extensive client facing experience to this role and has already delivered savings worth millions to HRG clients through project work, including the negotiation of over 20,000 corporate hotel rates in the last year.

The expansion of the consulting team in North America has led to the appointment of Peter Burtness as head of consulting for the region. Based in New York, Burtness will be responsible for assisting clients in North America to optimise their investment in their travel programmes.

Burtness began his career with HRG as global consulting principal in 2008, where he identified, sold, managed and implemented complex global supplier sourcing programmes to a wide variety of top tier multinational companies.

HRG Consulting provides professional consultancy and analytical services covering: airlines, hotels, car rental and ground transportation; global corporate cards; the environment and carbon emissions; self-booking tools; events and meetings management; and travel policy design and implementation.
